Private healthcare services

Everyone considering private healthcare should have access to comprehensive and clear information, on both quality and price, to help inform their decisions about care providers and treatments.

Four times a year we provide information to the Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN). This data covers things like:

  • Performance of private healthcare facilities
  • Fees of consultants providing private services
  • Performance of consultants providing private services
  • General information about consultants practicing private healthcare.

The PHIN is an independent, not-for-profit and Government mandated organisation - so is a source of information you can trust if you want to know more about private healthcare services near you. Every trust is the country is expected to contribute to the PHIN, with an expectation that all trusts will be represented on the site by April 2019.

Visit the website here: www.phin.org.uk

The work the PHIN is conducting forms part of the Private Healthcare Market Investigation Order 2014. If you’d like to know more about the order, please visit the Private Healthcare Market webpage by clicking here.
