Join our team
We are a happy team and national surveys show that our staff are more engaged in their work than at any other acute trust in the NHS. This is something we are very proud of and work hard to achieve, because happy staff means happy patients.
Our patients can also be happy because we have some of the best outcomes in the country in key areas such as care after a stroke, the repair of fractured hips and the detection of cancer at the earliest stages. So if that sounds like the kind of environment you want to work in then please do consider coming here to join our team.
Message from our chief executive
I have led West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust since November 2014 and it has been both the most challenging and rewarding role of my career so far. The team you will join, if you choose to develop your career with us, runs one of the most successful district hospitals in the NHS and is now embarking on a journey of integration, taking an important role in running community services in west Suffolk.
If you speak to others about this organisation, I am confident you will hear that West Suffolk Hospital is a friendly, compassionate place where staff are positive and happy to work. This leads directly to the excellence we can demonstrate in clinical outcomes and the quality of care we provide. If you join us, in whatever role, you will have an opportunity to transform our patients’ lives, lead and inspire others and achieve real and lasting progress in the provision of healthcare to the population of this wonderful part of the world. You will also be joining an exceptional group of colleagues whose support you will be able to count on.
I wish you all the very best for your career and if you join our team then I look forward to meeting you personally.
With best wishes
Professor Dr Stephen Dunn
