The train station is approximately 2 miles (3.2 kilometres) from the hospital.
Regular train services are operated by Greater Anglia on routes from Ipswich, Cambridge and Ely.

On foot:
Walking distance is around 1.7 miles (about 35 minutes).

Newmarket Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC)
The Newmarket Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) is a dedicated, state-of-the-art facility offering outpatient diagnostic testing across the following specialities:
MRI
CT
X-ray
Ultrasound
Lung function
Cardiology (echocardiogram)
Blood testing.

The Newmarket CDC is situated on the Newmarket Community Hospital site and located to the left of the main hospital building.
Monday to Friday: 8am to 8pm
Saturday and Sunday: closed (weekend working planned as part of phased increase of activity)

Patient transport is no longer booked by West Suffolk Hospital unless you are an in-patient already in hospital needing transport home.
