We know how important it is for our patients to have support from their loved ones while they are with us. We are dedicated to allowing visits in our hospitals whenever we can.

Key information
- Visiting is open daily from 2pm - 8pm for all adult wards.
- Additional visiting is in place for carers and for patients who are receiving end of life care.
- A maximum of two visitors per patient at any one time (this does not have to be the same two visitors).
- Please be aware that during ward rounds, drug rounds or essential procedures, visitors may be asked to leave the bay or bedside temporarily to prioritise the safety, privacy and dignity of all patients on the ward.
- Wards may sometimes close to visiting due to infectious outbreaks, for example norovirus or COVID-19.
- Neonatal ward - open access for parent and sibling as parents are not visitors but partners in care. Other visitors are welcome 2pm - 8pm weekdays and 10am - 8pm on weekends

Infection control
You can help us when you visit our hospital sites by:
- Using the alcohol gel whenever you enter or leave our wards or departments
- Washing your hands with soap and water when asked
- Not visiting the hospital if you or someone at home is not feeling well
- Not visiting if you have any of the following symptoms: diarrhoea, vomiting, flu-like symptoms
- Respecting visiting times wherever possible, but remember the nurse in charge can make special arrangements for you
- Not sitting on the patient’s bed when visiting
