Would you like to give some of your time to support your local health service? We have a range of volunteering roles available, at times to suit you, including evenings and weekends.
From helping on the wards to gardening, there is sure to be something to suit you. Some volunteers plan activities for our dementia patients, while others pick up and deliver important medicines from the pharmacy across the hospital.
Every one of the over 400 volunteers who help our Trust improve our patients’ experience in hospital, and are much-appreciated by our staff. If you think you can help, we will be delighted to hear from you and welcome you into the team!
We are one of 12 acute NHS Hospital Trusts working as a pilot site in the national HelpForce initiative. The Trust hopes to build on its current best practice in its hospital volunteering services, by working with partners to create community-based roles which support personal and community resilience.
