We are extremely busy in our emergency department so please use our services wisely.  In emergency and life-threatening cases continue to come forward as normal or call 999. 

However, if you are unsure about where to go, please call NHS 111 before coming to our emergency department who can best advise you on your next step.

Neurology

The neurology department at West Suffolk Hospital provides a comprehensive service for people with neurological disorders. Neurology involves the diagnosis and treatment of a large number of conditions affecting the brain and nerves.

Services provided

The neurology department helps patients manage diverse conditions and disorders of the nervous system including the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. These might include headaches, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and memory problems. We have access to excellent diagnostic facilities to help assess complicated cases, and a broad range of therapies to help treat people with neurological problems.
