Calling newly qualified nurses! Join our online Q&A

The West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (WSFT) invites newly qualified nurses considering the next step of their career to a virtual Q&A on Wednesday, 10 November 2021, from 2pm – 3.30pm. 

Find out what WSFT has to offer you as a place to work, and hear directly from our staff working across the Trust about our different services, career development and what it’s like to live in Suffolk.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions so come along and find out more about us.

  • 2pm: Join and welcome – film
  • 2.05pm: Welcome, chief nurse, Susan Wilkinson, Q&A
  • 2.15pm: Career development at the Trust – find out about the preceptorship programme, career pathways, post-grad training etc.
    Speaker: Helen Vickery, clinical practice facilitator
  • 2.30pm: Do you know what specialty you want to focus on or would you like to rotate around medicine, surgery, or in the community?
    Speakers: Meet staff from medicine, surgery, day surgery and community
  • 2.50pm: Why Bury St Edmunds? Find out more about accommodation, area, local attractions.
  • 3pm: Applying - how HR can support you through the process and what to expect.
    Speaker: Sophie Riley, HR nursing lead
  • 3.15pm: Meet and greet Q&A with former newly qualified nurses now recruited permanently at the Trust.
  • 3.30pm close.
