Increased presence of norovirus at the West Suffolk Hospital

  • F9 Ward has reopened

To keep the spread of winter illnesses, such as norovirus, to a minimum, the Trust has stepped up its infection prevention and control processes, including enhanced cleaning schedules and practices.

It is important that those wishing to visit our sites only do so if they have not had any of the following symptoms in the past 48 hours:

  • diarrhoea
  • vomiting
  • high temperature
  • persistent dry cough.

As ever, patients are encouraged to use our services wisely, and consider using NHS 111, seeing your GP, or visiting your local pharmacist. If you do need emergency care, please continue coming forward.
