An opportunity to explore a new career at free NHS event

Please note: this event has been postponed until May 2022.

Those considering a career move into the NHS will be able to find out more at an online event that our Trust is hosting on Saturday, 26 March.

With over 350 different job roles across the NHS, this is a great opportunity to ask questions to professionals about well-known frontline healthcare roles such as nursing through to careers in IT, estates and facilities, education and training, and communications.

The event is completely free and takes place online, and is ideal for people looking for a change and to use their past experiences and expertise to support one of the country's most cherished institutions.

Programme leader Rachel Grimwood said: "The Covid-19 pandemic really demonstrated how vital the NHS is to all our lives, and there is no better way to support it than becoming part of the team. Whether that is dealing with patients face to face or in more behind-the-scenes roles that are crucial to making sure our clinicians can do their jobs.

"Our virtual session will feature talks on the diverse NHS roles available and how you can prepare for an interview when applying for an NHS job.

"This session builds on our successful healthcare academy, which was for students wanting to gain an overview of a careers in healthcare, but this time it’s aimed at adults looking for new opportunities."

The online session will take place between 9am and 4pm on Saturday, 26 March and is free to attend - email rachel.grimwood@wsh.nhs.uk to find out more information and to book your place.
