Research and development

Research helps the NHS find better treatments and improve care for both adults and children.

Many patients are already benefitting from research done in the past and will continue to benefit from research happening today.

Services we provide

Our research and development team supports all clinical research at our hospital. We help make sure research is safe, well-run and follows national rules.

We support our staff to carry out research and help manage studies that involve our hospital. We also support our patients who take part in research, making sure their data and samples are handled safely and respectfully.
