Speech and language therapy

As speech and language therapists we aim to provide timely and appropriate services to support individuals who encounter swallowing and/or communication difficulties during their stay in hospital.

Services provided

As an inpatient you will be seen by a member of our speech and language therapy team. They will assess the nature of your difficulties, and offer support to you, your family and the multidisciplinary team during your stay with us. The type and amount of speech and language therapy will depend on your condition and any rehabilitation goals you may have.

We offer an outpatient Voice service - referrals are accepted from ENT.  The type and amount of therapy received by an individual will depend on their condition and overall management plan.
