Maternity team online meet and greet – for midwives looking to join our Trust

Tuesday, 5 July 2pm - 3.30pm

The maternity team at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (WSFT) invites potential registered midwife recruits to join them at an online meet and greet where they can find out more about working for the Trust’s hospital and community maternity services.

The informal, online session will take place on Tuesday, 5 July from 2pm - 3.30pm.

Those interested will have the opportunity to hear from maternity services staff, including head of midwifery Karen Newbury. The aim of the session is to introduce prospective employees to the range of maternity roles and services available, the training and career progression opportunities that come with them, as well as the HR support available for applicants and what Suffolk has to offer individuals.

Head of midwifery Karen Newbury said: “We are recruiting to our maternity services and would like to welcome registered midwives in particular to use our online meet and greet to find out more about working for the West Suffolk. Our friendly and hardworking maternity teams strive to provide the highest standards of patient care our families and new born babies rightly expect, and create a safe space for new generations coming into the world.

“We encourage you to come along, meet various members of our teams and ask lots of questions about the services we provide and what it’s like to work here.”

Practice development midwife Katrina Harvey said: “We have lots to offer new recruits from home and abroad and are a close-knit but diverse place to work. My role specifically supports people to develop in their roles and to access training and skills that transform their practice and enhance patient safety. It’s an exciting time to join us as we develop our continuity of carer approach and welcome new recruits to our service.”

We want to tell your story. We want to help develop your career.
