Increased presence of norovirus

We are currently seeing an increase in norovirus (winter vomiting bug) at West Suffolk Hospital. To keep everyone safe, please delay your visit if you have flu-like symptoms, Covid-19 or influenza, or if you have had diarrhoea or vomiting in the last 48 hours.

Video guides for children

We have created a series of video guides to help prepare you and your child for your child's stay in hospital.

Whether they are undergoing a procedure or coming in for a diagnostic test, we hope these videos help to alleviate any concerns or worries your child might have about coming into hospital.

Activities to support children and young people

Members of our paediatric psychology team at West Suffolk Hospital have created a series of short videos to help you support a child or young person.

The activities are most helpful when practised regularly while your child or young person is feeling calm. This can help them become familiar with the techniques, so they are better able to use them during more difficult moments.
