We are currently seeing an increase in norovirus (winter vomiting bug) at West Suffolk Hospital. To keep everyone safe, please delay your visit if you have flu-like symptoms, Covid-19 or influenza, or if you have had diarrhoea or vomiting in the last 48 hours.

What you can access in the Patient Portal

The Patient Portal can offer you a range of information. The information below provides information can be seen in the portal.

Test results

  • Laboratory results: Numerical results are visible, excluding tumor markers. Other lab reports, such as interpretations, are not available.
  • Radiology reports: Visible with a three-week delay.
  • Pathology reports: Also visible with a three-week delay.

Health records

  • Allergy information: View your allergy details.
  • Procedures: Information about procedures is available, though some dates may be missing.
  • Documents: Access clinic letters and inpatient discharge summaries from February 12, 2018, onward. Emergency department discharge summaries are excluded. Obstetric ultrasound reports are also available.
  • Notes: Includes Maternity Booking Notes, Ongoing Assessment Notes, Antenatal Discharge Info, and Postnatal Discharge Info.

Appointments and messaging

  • Upcoming appointments: View details such as date, time, and location, with the option to cancel if needed.
  • Important messages: Receive key updates and messages from the Trust.

Health assessments

  • Health questionnaires: An "Oncology Holistic Needs Assessment" is available, linked to relevant appointment types. You can also rate your care after visits.
