Building a culture where everyone feels confident and safe to speak up and raise concerns is of the utmost importance across the NHS, and of course, to us here at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.
Our Freedom to Speak Up Guardian helps us to achieve this by working independently and alongside the Trust leadership team to build a culture which ensures our staff feel safe, comfortable and supported when raising concerns, whatever those concerns may be.
If you work for us - including students, locums, volunteers, agency and bank workers, and contractors - you can confidentially get in touch with our Freedom to Speak Up Guardian.
Our Freedom to Speak Up Guardian is Jane Sharland. Staff can raise concerns with Jane, including those about patient safety, quality of care or bullying or harassment at a team or wider level.
Staff can raise a concern by contacting Jane Sharland via email at FreedomToSpeakUp.Mailbox@wsh.nhs.uk.
Freedom To Speak Up is for use by Trust staff only. If you don’t work for or with us but have a concern you’d like to raise, you can contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS).
