About the AMM
Taking place at a new venue for 2026 the Annual Members’ Meeting will also host a health information marketplace. A variety of stands will be open from 4.30pm, providing opportunities to chat with clinicians and colleagues from across the Trust, as well as other healthcare partners. A display about the 200th anniversary of the first general hospital for Suffolk, opened in Bury in 1826, and information about plans for the new hospital for west Suffolk will be available.
Dr Ewen Cameron, chief executive officer, will present a review of what’s been happening at the Trust over the last 12 months, and we will host two special interest talks on how technology is transforming healthcare.
The talk will focus on digital healthcare and technology, and what it means for you and your family. One of our consultant surgeons will explain how our innovative robot-assisted surgery is providing patients with faster recovery times and shorter hospital stays.
In addition, our chief information officer will discuss how our “digital first, not digital only” approach is transforming the way we deliver healthcare, from providing complex care for people in their own homes, to giving you access to your medical information and putting you in control of your healthcare.
The Guildhall is more than 800 years old and is the oldest civic building in continuous use in the country. Set in the heart of the town’s medieval grid, the Guildhall, gardens, courtyard and toilets are all wheelchair accessible. On-street parking is available in surrounding streets, including disabled parking spaces which are free for Blue Badge holders. There is parking in the nearby arc car park and others in the town centre.
The Guildhall Street entrance is fully accessible, you can also enter from 79 Whiting Street, but please be aware this includes a few steps.
