How we support the armed forces community
West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is an NHS Veteran Aware accredited organisation, which is a programme designed to support NHS trusts in understanding and meeting the needs of the armed forces community. This includes people who serve, or who have served, in the UK armed forces, and their families. By abiding by this accreditation, the Trust aims to deliver in its legal responsibilities to this group of people and ensure that the sacrifices they have made for the country are fully recognised, that the impacts caused by living as part of the community are identified, and that they are not treated less favourably in life due to these factors.
