Suspected cancer 2WW referrals – need to have a FIT test prior to referral. Up to date routine blood results prior to referral will also help triage.

Endoscopy – 2WW are being booked.  Routine patients are now being booked but with increased waiting times.

CT colonoscopy (radiology) – there remains a long waiting list for this investigation. Patients that fit the criteria for this investigation on the 2ww pathway may not be investigated for several weeks post initial telephone assessment.

Urgent referrals – clinically triaged. Telephone and face to face consultation in place as required.

Routine referrals – clinically triaged. Will be booked into telephone clinics where appropriate, if patient needs examination face to face clinics are running. Currently patients should receive a first appointment within 8 weeks.

Follow up outpatients – telephone and face to face appointments running.

Cancer surgery – will continue as normal.

Urgent surgery – cases are being booked. However, there are increased waits for surgery.

Routine surgery – cases are being booked. However, capacity is limited and there are significant waits for surgery.
