West Suffolk Professionals are committed to providing a responsive and flexible service for the trust and employees’

West Suffolk Hospital NHS Trust is currently operating a centralised ‘bank’ system, under the umbrella of West Suffolk Professionals.

West Suffolk Professionals (WSP) offers flexible working opportunities in a wide range of settings. Staff registered with WSP can work up to a maximum of 48 hrs per week, (averaged over 17 weeks).

Join the Professionals!

If you want to work in a varied working pattern, or gain experience in other areas, or if you simply want to work a few extra hours each week then we can help you. We also offer:

  • Competitive rates and weekly pay
  • Priority bookings over agency staff
  • Access to NHS Pension Scheme (subject to status)
  • Full induction and free mandatory training
  • Paid holiday entitlement
  • Free Uniform
  • Appraisal and PDP

All staff joining WSP undertake a comprehensive induction programme and as part of that you will undertake ‘shadow shifts’ where you are supported and will work alongside an experienced member of the ward team.  These shifts are unpaid and are undertaken in your own time.

Flexibility is the key to success with WSP, the more flexible you are the more shifts you will get. Duties availability are around a three-shift pattern, early, late and night. The early shift usually starts between 0700 and 0800 hours and finishes 1400-1430. Late shifts start between 1500 and 1530 and finish 2100-2130 and the night shift starts between 2030 and 2100 and finishes 0730-0800. There are also twilight shifts and part shifts available.

So whether you want occasional shifts to fit around your current commitments or way into nursing or healthcare, call West Suffolk Professionals and we can help.
