1995	Policy LP33 in Babergh Local Plan Alteration No. 1 allocates the land for employment. With access from Church Field Road only.
2002	The land, combined with the site of the proposed new healthcare centre, was granted outline planning permission for the erection of a new community hospital, with new industrial/commercial development on the adjoining land to the north-east.
2007	This permission was quashed by the High Court following an application for Judicial Review.
2011	Planning permission granted on 13th December 2011 for the erection of new community health centre on the adjoining land fronting Church Field Road.
