Research & Development (R&D)

The R&D department:

  • helps staff to design, fund and run studies
  • helps staff to obtain the necessary regulatory approvals for studies
  • offers advice and research training
  • contributes to Trust funds

IMPORTANT NOTES: 1) All research MUST have written Trust Approval (issued by the Research Operational & Governance Committee (ROC) on behalf of the Trust) before it can start.

2) All researchers at West Suffolk must hold a substantive contract or an honorary clinical contract with the Trust or acquire a Letter of Access or Honorary Contract before starting their research. For further details click here| .

Opening Times

The Research & Development Office is situated in the Education Centre| at the West Suffolk Hospital.

The office is open 4 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).

At all other times you can contact the R&D office at Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on 01480 830541
