Trust Uniform Guide
In response to regular enquiries in the Library about the variety and meaning of various staff uniforms, we collaborated with our colleagues in the Sewing Room and attempted to produce a guide to uniforms in the Trust.
We hoped this might be useful for new staff (and existing staff!). We thought this would be an easy little project, but it has turned out to be much more complicated than we first thought.
We know that not every single uniform is represented – so please tell us what is missing.
We know that some of the colours are not accurately reproduced – we are limited by the colour palette on Microsoft, but let us know if we have got it completely wrong and we will correct it.
Did you find it useful? Any feedback is welcome wsh-tr.library@nhs,net
And we can’t forget the help and support we had from Joanne and her team in the Sewing Room – thanks for your patience!

New Online Journal Collections
Following the loss of a substantial amount of regional tariff funding and the loss of some important core journals from the East of England collection, we are in the process of trying to replace some of those resources from available funding streams. We are pleased to announce that all WSH staff, including our colleagues in the community, now have access to two major collections – the Wiley Medical and Nursing Collection comprising 417 e-journals across a wide range of specialties, and the Mark Allen Healthcare Collection aimed primarily at nursing, healthcare assistants and allied health professionals.
To access these resources, search for the specific journal you are interested in on Google or any other search engine and log in using your OpenAthens details when prompted.
You can access a wealth of online resources through the the Library including but not limited to DynaMed Plus, Anatomy.TV and Royal Marsden Manual Online. See our Online Resources page for more information.
