Tour of the department
As you enter the Hospital through the Main Entrance you will find our Outpatients Department immediately to the right.
Our Outpatients Department is divided into 2 Reception areas (Reception A and Reception B). The first area you will come across is Reception A. This zone comprises of a small waiting area and 6 Consulting rooms supported by a Quiet Room. To the right hand side you will see our newly refurbished rooms. A variety of clinics are housed in this zone from Rheumatology on a Monday morning to the Breast Clinic all day on a Tuesday and Wednesday. There is a small Reception Desk with an information board which is manned by one Receptionist.
As you walk further down and pass Reception A you will see a bigger waiting area and more Consulting rooms. This area is Reception B. Again a variety of clinics take place here. This Reception is normally manned by 2 Receptionists as there are 16 Consulting rooms in this department including a Treatment Room where Minor operations take place.

As you walk past the Reception desk you see that Reception B stretches all the way around and down the corner. This area is known as our ENT and Maxillofacial areas. (Please note you must book into Reception B for these clinics). We have specially designed rooms to cater for the ENT clinic and so minor procedures can take place.
Halfway down this corridor on the right hand side you will se our ENT waiting area. This is also where you will find our Audiology department where Hearing Aid repairs and tests take place. This waiting area has recently undergone refurbishment and now you will see 2 fantastic murals (which have been painted by 2 members of our staff) on the wall for the Children to look at and see if they can complete our fun quiz and count how many mermaids there are.

Towards the bottom of the corridor you will find our Waiting area C. This small waiting area is for our Oral and Maxillofacial Clinics which take place on a Tuesday and Friday morning. We have 2 specially designed rooms to cater for the needs of the Oral and Maxillofacial clinics.
Ideas to Improve our Service
If you have any ideas on how to improve our service like the patient pager scheme or the Bizzi bags, please ask the receptionist for an ideas and suggestions leaflet. We are very keen to continuously improve our service and want to hear your ideas.
