In-patient Services
The facility to refer patients is available to all wards.
Dietetic referral cards are available on the wards.
Telephone referrals are accepted but must be supported at a later time by the appropriate referral document.
Newly referred hospital patients will normally be seen within two working days of the receipt of the referral.
The dietitian will arrange where appropriate for patients to receive out patient follow up appointments.
West Suffolk Hospital - Out-patient Services
Out patient referrals should be made by letter, including all relevant clinical information. The destination of the letter will be determined by the clinic the patient is being referred to. Please contact the department for more information.
