The Governance Coordinators act as the named Governance Leads for the Clinical Directorates supporting the Governance processes.

This support includes managing and supporting Directorate Governance Steering Groups, Root Cause Analysis and Quarterly Directorate Incident Review. The Coordinators also facilitate the management of:

• External and internal Assessments for the Trust (eg. Healthcare Commission Inspections, Standards for better Health, Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts)
• Implementation and monitoring of NICE Guidance and Nationally issued Best practice reports.
• Maintenance of Patient Group Directives.
• Maintenance of information systems for capturing and reporting Governance activity
