The Trust Board is the ultimate source of authority in the Trust and gives the overall sense of direction and purpose to the Trust’s activities. It consists of a part-time Non-executive Chairman and five Non-executive Directors drawn from the local community and five Executive Directors, headed by the Chief Executive.

The Board’s role can be characterised as five P’s:

People (having the right people in place to implement the Board’s policies and deliver services)

Pounds and Pence (keeping the money under control)

Patients (are we delivering services at the right time, place and quality?)
