Welcome to the Medical Director's web page.

I have been the Trust's Executive Medical Director since June 2009. I qualified in medicine from the Medical College of St Bartholomew's Hospital, University of London. My surgical training took place in NE Thames Region and I was appointed as a consultant general surgeon at West Suffolk in 2001. I was president of the Association of Surgeons in Training. In 2003 I became Clinical Director for Surgical Services and in 2006 as Deputy Medical Director. I became one of the Health Foundation's first batch of their Leadership Fellows scheme in 2003. In 2003 I was elected to become a member of Council and a Trustee of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
